
The ASMS invites you to join us in hearing implications of key research findings for teacher practice.
Stella Vosniadou, Flinders University Strategic Professor in Education, will discuss some key learning research findings and their implications for teacher practices. Stella is well regarded for her research in students conceptual development and conceptual change particularly in the areas of science and mathematics. She is also interested in maths and science assessment and the relationships between learning conceptual change and executive function skills and self-regulation. Self –regulated learning and its application in schools is a recent area of research for Stella.
Emiratis Professor Mike Lawson will also discuss some of the types of decisions students might need to be making about their learning during lessons during his presentation Moment-to-moment learning.
